Description:
Introduction:
17AM-K Electric Motor Thermal Switch is a bi-metal temperature sensing with a bi-metal strip as the temeprature sensing element. Its main working principle is to control the temperature by opening the bi-metal strip. It stays at normally closed status, it opens when temeprature rising and closes when temperature decreasing. 17AM-K Electric Motor Thermal Switch has double functions of over current and over heat protection, which can provide sensitive and accurate temperature control for various electrical appliances. It can reset automatically after tripping off. 17AM-K Electric Motor Thermal Switch is widely used in all kinds of horsepower motor, transformer, fluorescent lamp ballast, battery, office and household appliances, electric tools, automobile motor and other electrical components and electric heating appliances.
Work Principle:
When the 17AM-K Electric Motor Thermal Switch is in series with the motor coil, the bimetal element can monitor the change of coil temperature and motor current. When the temperature and current of the motor increase due to block rotation or other conditions, the heat generated is transferred to the bimetal element and reaches the preset operating temperature setting value, the bimetal element will act quickly to disconnect the contact, cut off the circuit and protect the motor or other electrical appliances. When the temperature of the motor coil drops to the rated reset temperature, the bimetal element returns to its initial state, the moving contact will be closed, and the circuit will be on again.
